50 Mile March's mission is to empower Veterans facing mental health challenges and homelessness by providing a community of hope and relentless support.  As part of our mission fulfillment, the 50 Mile March Foundation provides grants to nonprofit organizations serving Veterans in our community.  Proposed projects must serve Veterans or Veteran families.  


Grant Application opens July 1 and closes August 31.  Awards granted October 2024.

Applicants should meet the following funding requirements:

  1. Serve the Omaha-Council Bluffs Metropolitan Area (Douglas, Sarpy, Washington, Cass, and Saunders counties in Nebraska and Mills, Pottawattamie and Harrison in Iowa).
  2. Be a recognized, tax-exempt organization as determined by the Internal Revenue Code.
  3. Funding may not be utilized to engage in political or religious activities.
  4. Funding requests should not exceed $20,000.00.
  5. Funding requests should not exceed more than 20% of an organization's annual operating budget.

The Papillion Community Foundation supports several local organizations and their grant-giving efforts. This general intake form will allow you to apply for all relevant grants that the Foundation or its partner organizations offer. Please be sure to review the additional information outlined on the intake form. All applicants must meet the following criteria for consideration:

  1. The tax-exempt status of this individual/organization is pending or still in effect.
  2. The individual/organization does not support or engage in any political, religious, or terrorist activity.
  3. If a grant is awarded to the individual/organization, the proceeds of that grant will not be distributed to or used to benefit any organization or individual supporting or engaged in political, religious, or terroristic activities, or used for any other unlawful purpose.
  4. Applicant should be a Papillion-based nonprofit organizations that support enhancing the quality of life in Papillion through community service, veterans’ services, education, or community sustainability efforts.

Up to four (4) awards are made annually. Awards are granted in the amount of up to $2,500.
