The 50 Mile March is committed to our mission of empowering Veterans facing mental health challenges and homelessness by fostering a community of hope and relentless support.   While our focus has been grant making to nonprofit agencies and moving towards our Community of Hope campus vision, we also seek to serve immediate needs of our Veteran community.

On April 26, 2024, a violent tornado outbreak unleashed destruction across Nebraska and Iowa.  Many of our neighbors in the Omaha metro community have lost homes, personal property, pets, and more.  The 50 Mile March is responding to the needs of Veterans in our community through microgrants to meet immediate needs including but not limited to:  hotel stays, food, clothing, and other essentials.

Applicants must:

  1. Reside within 90 miles of the Omaha metropolitan area.
  2. Have been directly impacted by the April 26, 2024 tornadoes.
  3. Be a U.S. Military Veteran (or someone living in your household must be a Veteran)

Grants will be limited to up to $1,000 per household and may be awarded in cash or via gift cards.
